Brady initially retired at the end of last season before going back on his decision, and instead decided to commit his 23rd NFL campaign and lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers once again. At the end of the last NFL season, Brady travelled to Manchester to watch United beat Tottenham 3-2, and the legendary figures from each sport met.

“I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business.”

“I said that there’s no immediate retirement in my future. There was a retirement in the past, but I moved on from that,” Brady said on his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast, via Pro Football Talk. “I made a commitment to this team and I love this team and I love this organisation.
“I told them in March I was playing and I’ve never quit on anything in my life. And I know a bunch of teammates that we all count on one another to be at our best and to work hard and to put the team first.”
